Sealed bids for Walk Safely Milwaukie Program – Stanley Avenue Crosswalk project will be received at the City of Milwaukie Community Development Office located at 6101 SE Johnson Creek Boulevard, Milwaukie, OR 97206 until 2:00 PM on March 1, 2012, at which time the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after 2:00 PM shall not be considered.

The project consists of installation of 416 square feet of pervious concrete sidewalk, 2 ADA sidewalk ramps, 97 lineal feet of curb and gutter, 17 lineal feet of standard curb, 73 tons of asphalt paving and performance of such additional and incidental work as called for by the Contract Documents. The engineer’s estimated project cost is between $35,000 - $45,000.

Interested parties will need to create a free login account to view the documents. This account will be used to notify plan holders of any addenda throughout the bidding process.
 

All bids shall be submitted on the furnished Bid Submission Packet in a sealed envelope plainly identifying the project name, project number, bid opening time and date, bidder’s name, and contractor’s license number. Sealed bids shall be addressed to Brad Albert, Civil Engineer, City of Milwaukie, Community Development, 6101 SE Johnson Creek Boulevard, Milwaukie, OR 97206. All bids shall be submitted in the prescribed form and said manner as indicated in the Information for Bidders. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond executed in favor of the City of Milwaukie in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Bidders shall be pre-qualified with the Oregon Department of Transportation, in the Class of Work “Earthwork and Drainage” prior to the public opening and reading of the bids.

No bid will be considered unless the bid contains, or is accompanied by, a statement by the bidder that the provisions required by ORS 279C.838 or ORS 279C.840, as applicable, pertaining to prevailing wages, shall be included as part of the Contract.
